Correos presentará el próximo día 22 de Abril la hojita bloque de 4 sellos con los valores 0.28, 0.53, 0.78 y 2,21 euros, en total 632 de las antiguas pesetas. Algunos lectores nos han solicitado información de esta emisión, sobre todo por el interés que para algunos coleccionistas temáticos tendría cancelarlos con el matasellos de la exposición que se celebrará en Güimar y que supondrá primer día de emisión. Intentaremos obtener información sobre la disponibilidad que habrá para adquirir ese día estas pequeñas joyas filatélicas. Spanish Post Office will present next day April 22nd the block of 4 seals with values 0,28, 0,53, 0,78 and 2.21 euros, altogether 632 of the old pesetas. del instituto lleva esta marquilla privada y se empleará probablemente hasta
la semana después de la inauguración del Museo, el día 18 de abril.

Institute takes this private red mark and will probably be used until the week after the inauguration of the
Museum, 18th of April. Later, it will be destroyed.
Los medios de comunicación escritos han
difundido estos días la apertura del Museo y su contenido,
recopila 232 ediciones de esta obra de Cervantes
procedentes de 56 países y está recogida en 46 idiomas. Este número
no para de crecer, pues en esta semana ha llegado un volumen desde
Armenia.
The written mass media have spread last
days the opening of the Museum and its content, it compiles 232 editions of this work of Cervantes coming from 56 countries and is gathered in 46
languages. This number doesn't stop to grow, because in this week a
new volume has arrived from Armenia.
El Museo está situado en la planta baja del
I.E.S. Mencey
Acaymo y tiene carácter permanente, pretendiendo difundir a través
de Güímar la universalidad de la obra de Cervantes.
The Museum is located in the ground floor of the
I.E.S. Mencey Acaymo and has permanent character, trying to spread through Güímar the
universality of the work of Cervantes.
 Junto a la exposición
de Quijotes, del 18 al 22, de abril habrá una Exposición Filatélica
que complementa, a través de los sellos, la obra bibliográfica.
También habrá postales y otros elementos de colección
dedicados a Cervantes y su obra. En la Exposición Filatélica se
podrán contemplar colecciones dedicadas a Cervantes, El Quijote
o a la Literatura española.
Next to the exhibition of Quijotes
Centenary Books, from the 18th to 22th of April, there will be a
Philately Exhibition that
will be complement, through seals, the bibliographical work. Also there will be postal and other elements of collection dedicated to Cervantes and
his
work. In the Philately Exhibition there will be able to contemplate collections dedicated to Cervantes, the Quijote
and Spanish Literature.

La página web de Correos presenta la etiqueta dedicada al Carruaje
"Milord 1900", fiel a la temática seleccionada por el Ente
, se puso en circulación el pasado día 18 de Marzo. La tirada es de
50 millones de ejemplares, está realizada en Offset 4 colores ,
en papel térmico autoadhesivo y fosforescente, con un sistema de
seguridad basado en tinta invisible. Su tamaño es el estandar 47 x 27
mm. La primera emitida este año, recordamos que fue
"Constitución Europea".

 Nuestro colaborador , el Dr. José Manuel Maldonado nos comunica
que el pasado día 17 de Marzo de 2005 , fallecía en Cracovia, a los
83
años de edad, el mas reconocido grabador de la filatelia mundial, al
haber hecho mas de mil sellos para 32 países, entre ellos España
.
Our collaborator, Dr. Jose Manuel Maldonado communicates us that the past March 17th of 2005, passed away in Cracovia, with 83 years of age, the most recognized engraver of philately world-wide, thousand seals were made by him for 32 countries and among them Spain.
Czeslaw Slania, of Polish origin, was born the October 22nd of 1921.After a releases disease, that already prevented him to work in the engraving. His last work emitted seal has been for the United Nations, although we are pending to confirm and to receive tha last complete work made for the Polish Chemistry Dwory Company. It will be the last private engraving and therefore his last "Official" seal we have already mentioned of United Nations. His last banknotes work was the 100 Dollars Canadian in March of 2004.
Descanse en paz. The delay in the news , was caused becouse there was necesary to locate his daughter before the news will be published; this happened 20th, following the Scandinavian countries tradition of, "first the family and after the others". Rest peacefully. Enlaces imprescindibles.

En esta edición contamos con un monográfico dedicado a la Biblia como libro universal. En su catálogo aparecían 52 libros que recorren desde 1553 hasta nuestros días la historia del Libro Sagrado. It was celebrated between 15th and 27th of March, successfully of participation the annual exhibition organized by the Meeting of Brotherhoods. In this edition we have had a monographic dedicated to the Bible as universal book. In catalogue appeared 52 books that represent from the 1553 history of the Sacred Book.
Acompañaron a esta magnífica
singular exposición varias colecciones filatélicas que recorren la
Semana Santa Lagunera y la Pasión de Cristo, realzando con los
conocimientos contenidos en ellos la Semana Santa Lagunera. Several philatelic collections accompanied this magnificent and singular exhibition that cross the Lagunera Easter and the Passion of Christ, heightening with the knowledge contained in them.

LAS FRANQUICIAS MILITARES EN CANARIAS. |

 Hoy
reflexionamos ante la carencia de un estudio a fondo de las marcas de
franquicia militar en Canarias, y concretamente a un estudio profundo
del Correo Militar en Canarias. Hablamos de un extenso campo que
abarca desde la prefilatelia , las intervenciones o delegaciones
militares extranjeras en Canarias , como la campaña de Nelson, de la
que recientemente se ha subastado una carta escrita por un oficial
inglés de dicha flota, o las unidades con base en Canarias que ha
participado en diferentes campañas en el exterior. En la imagen de la
derecha vemos el sello de franquicia oficial de la CAPITANÍA
GENERAL DE LAS ISLAS CANARIAS. ESTADO MAYOR correspondiente a la
envuelta fechador Baeza el 7 de Marzo de 1847
y dirigida al Juez de Primera Instancia del partido de La Laguna.
Marca A de Abono en rojo.Today we reflected about the deficiency of a thorough study of the military marks of tax exemption in the Canary Islands, and concretely to a deep study of the Military post office in Canary Islands. We spoke of an extensive field that includes from stamless, the foreign interventions or military delegations in the Canary Islands, like the campaign of Nelson, of which recently a letter written by an English official of this fleet has been auctioned, or the units with base in the Canary Islands that has participated in different Spanish campaigns in the outside. In the image of the right we see the officiall seal tax exemption of the "GENERAL CAPTAIN OF CANARY ISLANDS. GENERAL STAFF" corresponding to surrounded the handseal "Baeza" March 7th of 1847 and directed to the Judge of First Instance of the party of La Laguna. Mark A of "ABONO" in red.

Concurso infantil de grabado, dibujo y pintura “Los Museos y el Patrimonio Inmaterial” |

Con motivo del Día Internacional de los Museos, que se celebrará el
18 de Mayo, el Museo Casa de la Moneda organiza un concurso infantil
de grabado, dibujo y pintura, dividido en dos secciones: Niños de hasta 8 años (con pinturas a la cera, en formato A4 "folio"). Niños de hasta 9 a 14 años (mediante la técnica que elijan entre las indicadas y en formato A4 "folio" o A3 "doble folio"). En cada una de las dos secciones, el vencedor y los dos finalistas reciben un premio consistente en monedas en plata y un diploma. Apertura
del Museo el día 18 de abril de 2005
Czeslaw Slania, de origen polaco, nacido el 22 de Octubre de
1921.Después de una larga enfermedad, que le impedía ya trabajar en
el grabado. Su ultimo sello emitido ha sido el de Naciones
Unidas, aunque estamos pendientes de confirmar y recibir un ultimo
trabajo realizado para la Firma Química Polaca Dwory. Seria un
grabado privado y por tanto su último sello "Oficial" es el
ya mencionado de Naciones Unidas. Su último trabajo en billetes es el
de 100 Dólares Canadienses de Marzo de 2004.
El retraso en la noticia se debe, según nos indican, a que primero
hubo que localizar a su hija antes de hacer publico su fallecimiento,
esto ocurrió el día 20, siguiendo la tradición de primero la
familia y luego los demás que se realiza en los países escandinavos.
Se celebró entre los días 15 y 27 de Marzo , con éxito de
participación la exposición de anual organizada por la Junta de
Hermandades y Cofradías.
